Resolved, that in recognition of his exceptional guidance and facilitation in assisting the Bishop, staff and governing bodies of the Episcopal Diocese of Newark to discern, articulate and implement a mission and vision statement to equip our congregations, empower our people and engage our world with the hope and justice of Jesus, the Diocesan Council of the Diocese of Newark hereby honors David Manting for his tireless energy and passion in his work among us; and be it further

Resolved, that as David Manting concludes this phase of his work with us, this Diocesan Council, on behalf of the entire Diocese of Newark, express our gratitude for his counsel and insight in motivating our work over the past twenty months, inviting us to be adaptive leaders who can step back to observe the dance from the balcony so that we might the more appreciate both the dance and the dancers. We look forward to any future collaborations and wish him knowledge of God's blessing and continued success in his work and ministry.
